Frequently asked questions

Still have questions? You’ll find more answers here.

What is a second opinion?

Our second opinion service provides a review of a scan you’ve already had. You don’t need to have a second scan. Instead, one of our consultant radiologists looks at your scan images and writes an independent review based on their own findings and opinions. This service is useful if you’d like to understand your results from a different viewpoint or gain further clarity on a diagnosis.

Can I get a second opinion on an NHS scan?

Yes. Our second opinion service is available to patients with scan results from the NHS and other private clinics. It can be used to seek a second opinion on MRI, CT and X-ray images.

What is a post-scan consultation?

Our post-scan consultation service is a 30-minute call with an expert clinician who will explain your results using clear, plain language and help you decide your next steps. It’s ideal if your scan results have left you feeling anxious, confused or unsure what they mean or what your options are.

How does the post-scan consultation work?

Use our simple online booking system to arrange your call. Your clinician will call you, and you’ll be able to discuss your results and make decisions about your care. You can then decide to take your results and knowledge to your NHS GP or continue your care privately with one of our experts.
