Do I need a referral from my GP?

No, you don’t need a referral from your GP or any other doctor to book a health assessment. Instead, a member of our medical team will review your booking within two working days and call you to ask a few questions about your general health. They’ll then handle the referral and send it to your chosen clinic. 

What does a health assessment include?

Each health assessment differs, depending on the type. But typically, you’ll pay a fixed fee that includes a pre-scan consultation, a scan (such as an MRI, ultrasound or DEXA) and a post-scan report and advice. Some health assessments, such as our CognitionCheck, include a blood test. 

How long will my appointment take?

Your appointment time will depend on the type of health assessment you’re having. Your confirmation email will include details about your specific booking, but a scan usually takes 15-30 minutes.

What happens after I have my results?

If your results show something that requires treatment or further testing, you can return to your NHS GP with your results, or you can decide to continue your care privately with one of our recommended experts. If you’d like further clarity on your results, book a consultation to discuss your health and next steps in more detail.
